Shipping your Generous Donations to Kenya:
We are currently overwhelmed with generous donations of clothing, books and medical supplies. The cost of shipping these items to Kenya, as well as the cost and logistics of transporting donations from the post office to the village once they reach Kenya have become increasingly difficult to manage. Therefore it is our request that non-monetary donations (other than latex gloves) be postponed until further notice. At this time, we encourage you to send monetary donations to assist us in paying for postage in order that these much needed supplies reach those who need them.
Latex Gloves...
Rowe Charities is looking for a donor to provide latex gloves to its Community Health Workers and midwives to prevent the spread of HIV and other, communicable diseases during home based care and childbirth. Many hospitals are forced to throw out damaged boxes of latex gloves, leaving this valuable resource in the garbage bin. These gloves could be used to prevent disease in our Kenyan community. If you have any information on how we could tap this languishing resource, please contact us.
